Why This Farm Exists
Mauritius imports its plate.We're growing ours.
Most of what Mauritians eat arrives on a ship. Much of what's grown here is sprayed with pesticides and herbicides we never see. The answer isn't another supermarket label promising “natural” — it's land that members own together, farmed in the open, with nothing to hide.
Our philosophy is simple: healthy soil → healthy plants → healthy animals → quality food → healthier people. We feed the soil food web, not just the crop. We measure soil health from day one and publish how it improves.

The Circular System
Nothing wasted.Everything feeds the next thing.
We don't buy what the farm can make. Fertility is brewed on-site from the farm's own residues and animals — that's the heart of the project. Flowers, orchard and aromatic plants feed the bees; the bees pollinate everything and give us honey.
Crops feed people
Vegetables, fruit, roots and herbs go to members, the farm shop and — later — a farm-to-table kitchen.
Residues feed animals
Crop residues and surplus go to pastured chickens and a small dairy herd rotating through the land.
Animals feed the compost
Manure, eggshells and organic residues become compost and brewed biological inputs — JADAM and Jeevamrit style, made on the farm.
Compost feeds the soil
Biological inputs go back to the soil food web: microbes, fungi, worms — the real workforce of the farm.
Living soil feeds the crops
Healthy soil grows nutrient-dense plants without synthetic chemicals. The loop closes, and quality compounds year after year.

This is not monoculture. Species are mixed intelligently — the way a forest does it — so every layer either feeds people or feeds the ecosystem. Mostly both.
What grows here
Mobile pastured chickens
No permanent cages — flocks rotate across the farm in mobile systems, foraging, clearing insects, fertilising as they go, and giving us real free-range eggs.
A small dairy herd
A few well-kept cows for milk, manure and biological preparations like Jeevamrit — high-quality husbandry, with proper veterinary care always available.
Bees woven into the system
Hives foraging on the orchard, flowers and aromatic plants. Pollination for the farm, raw honey and wax for members, live demonstrations for visitors.
The Agricultural Living Lab
Farming run like a lab.Owned like a co-op.
Every planting is a documented experiment. Sensors and records track the farm from soil to harvest, so we compare biological practices — JADAM, Jeevamrit, composts, rotations — and keep only what the data proves. Test → measure → adopt what works. Never blind faith in any one system.
This makes the farm more than a farm: it generates real Mauritian data on soil restoration, agroforestry economics, biological pest management and water efficiency — knowledge the whole country can use, produced by a cooperative that answers to its members.

The foundation
Agriculture first
Securing the land, building soil, water systems and windbreaks, then the first plantings, mobile chickens and the first hives. Agriculture leads — everything else follows.
Adding value
Processing & products
Herbal teas (roselle first), a small essential-oil distillation unit, honey, preserves and the farm shop. The farm starts turning harvests into branded, lab-tested products.
Sharing knowledge
Education & agritourism
Farm tours, school visits, harvest experiences, beekeeping demonstrations, cooking experiences, member days and training in biological farming.

Quiet nature stays, digital-detox experiences and a restaurant serving what the land grows — grown here, prepared here, experienced here. Subject to proper approvals, built when the farm has earned it.
